Beyond Positioning

An honest look at the real work of figuring things out

Hi everyone,

Look around online. We're surrounded by content that positions the author as a knowledgeable expert, teaching you their insights. But what about the messy middle? What about the real-time process of figuring things out?

That's where I find myself this week, and I want to share it honestly.

I'm incredibly energized by the work I'm doing and the potential I see ahead. But I’ve also hit that familiar wall: the paradox of being overwhelmed by ideas. One moment, I'm thinking about diving into a new skill; the next, my focus shifts to community outreach, then back to my website.

The result is a feeling of being busy but knowing I could be more productive.

And I know the clock is ticking...

I'm realizing the most critical task right now isn't to do everything, but to pause and ask one powerful question: What is the most intentional use of my energy right now?

Perhaps in a future newsletter, I will articulate how I pulled it together and made some good moves.

But this is important - I don't want all my content be about positioning and showing authority. I'm learning along with you and teaching when I can.

Hope your week is great and talk to you again soon,

Dan Ryan
